Find your perfect vibe

For girls night

For girls night, Jules loves Tiny’s & the Bar Upstairs. Tiny’s & The Bar Upstairs is a 1810 bi-level townhouse, located in Tribeca. They serve American food, an amazing brunch and also have a full bar which is known for it’s Peach Fizz cocktail. In Jules’ words “This pink restaurant is perfection. It reminds me a lot of La Maison Rose in Paris, from the outside pink color of the building to the inside with two floors, European style seating, and its charmingly historic aesthetic”.

For the perfect Sunday date

For the perfect Sunday date, Jules recommends the Loeb Central Park Boathouse. She says “this is an amazing restaurant on the water in Central Park. This spot is famously known as the only lakeside restaurant in the middle of Central Park. It was seen on Sex and the City during the iconic scene where Big and Carries fall into the lake”. Undoubtedly, The Loeb Central Park Boathouse is a picturesque and perfect setting for a romantic leisurely Sunday date, with its enchanting ambience and also gives you the option to rent a boat if you’d like an adventure.

For the ultimate French getaway

For the ultimate French getaway feels, Jules loves Balthazar. In her words “This romantic brasserie serves traditional French food and has an atmosphere that will make you feel like you’re in Paris. Balthazar also has a to go bakery with the best breads and pastries that are baked fresh every day.” This restaurant is an oldie but goodie, and one you can always count on for good food. To keep up with the French vibes, we highly recommend being seated outside in the summer and enjoying your coffee and baked goods while doing some people watching.

For a solo date

Next up, for a solo date, Jules recommends Brick Wine Bar; “Playing TV shows like Schitts Creek on a projector and serving natural wines this Lower East Side spot is a personal favorite. Something about the atmosphere makes it the perfect spot for a solo date night. If you’re reading this and have never been on a solo date let this be your sign to take yourself out! It really does wonders for your self confidence, if you feel awkward bring a book with you!”, says Jules. Personally, we love that she threw in solo date night in here – much much needed – and not to mention, we all need good natural wine bar recommendations, which is why Brick Wine Bar is such a perfect rec.

For date night

For date night, Jules loves La Lanterna. In her words “La Lanterna Caffe has the ultimate romantic vibes with a year round enclosed garden patio. This cozy Greenwich village garden restaurant is lit up by large lanterns and is known for their phenomenal lasagna flights. I got the Mare e Monti flight and my personal favorite was the Ortolana”. La Lanterna is also a favorite for ours – we seriously cannot get enough of their drinks and cocktails selections. The menu is never ending but in the best way possible and their creamy chocolate martini especially is to die for.

For happy hour

For happy hour, Jules recommends Ama Raw Bar in the West Village. She says “$11 lychee martinis and $1.25 oysters make this perfect chic happy hour spot”. We knew this was the perfect rec when Jules mentioned lychee martinis for happy hour – finally a woman who talks our language. Absolutely love the vibes at Ama – an Asian inspired raw bar & cocktail lounge. It’s been picking up hype on IG as well. Alongside their amazing cocktails & happy hour selection, they serve some delicious small plates & bao buns if you get hungry.

For coffee

For coffee, Jules’ favorite coffee shop right now is Gather in LES. In her words, “Gather cafè in the Lower East Side just arrived to NYC but completely stole my heart and went to the top of my list of favorite cafès in the city. This female owned cafè had me reminiscing days in Paris while giving my LA roots adrenaline with a full list of tasty smoothies! The space and staff is welcoming and it gives a “clean girl” who’s Parisian chic aesthetic to me”. Honestly we love to hear it and we need more cafés in the city that also offer smoothies + do more than coffee AND do it all well. Love Gather for these vibes.
